Erik W. Peterson | President

Prior to starting his company in 2006, Mr. Peterson worked in various capacities around the country for some of the nation’s largest development, consulting, and construction companies while garnering a vast amount of experience in hospitality, high-tech, infrastructure, hospital, industrial, ultra-high-end residential, commercial, and resort properties. Over the past 30 years he has worked on the west coast, the greater Rocky Mountain region, and the east coast. Mr. Peterson has managed and consulted on a variety of unique projects that provide a rich depth of knowledge and experience that he freely shares with clients and other consultants.

Mr. Peterson is the author of the book Taming the Squid—Organizational Sustainability/Surviving the 21st Century, © 2009, published by Chambers College Press, is the Managing Editor of ‘A Guide to Construction Quality’, © 2014, published by OAC Management Incorporated, and contributing author to ‘Construction Management Capstone’, © 2015, published by Great River Learning.

Mr. Peterson has written training course materials for the 1-day training course, ‘Certified Quality Assurance Technician’, which is offered to career professionals and craftsmen in the construction industry.

He is a frequent speaker at Colorado State University and host of ‘Building Science Basics Seminar’ which is a one-day seminar offered to professional consultants and general contractors.

Mr. Peterson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Technology from the University of Wyoming, a Masters of Christian Liberal Arts (MCLA) from Chambers College, was certified and taught high school Electronics and Applied Physics, and received a Building Enclosure Commissioning Process Provider (BECxP) Certification from the University of Wisconsin College of Engineering.

Mr. Peterson has been married for 34 years to his wife Lorrie and they have two grown daughters and a pooch named “Posie”.

Matt Lewis, CQAP, AC, BECxP | Director of Operations

Matt oversees day to day operations for OAC and brings a wealth of diverse knowledge in all types of construction. Matt has superior leadership and organizational qualities that quickly win the favor of both clients and contractors alike. Matt’s ability to quickly ascertain what needs to be accomplished, coupled with exceptional management and communication skills, places him at the top of the industry in successfully managing projects. Matt thrives on sharing his expertise on proper assembly installation while encouraging those around him to aim for perfection.

Having worked in Landscape Contracting & Maintenance throughout his childhood for C.W. Contractors in Denver, and CSU Facilities Management on over 100 different projects while attending college, helped cultivate a work ethic in Matt that is nothing short of inspiring. Over the past 5 years Matt has worked for OAC Management providing owner’s representation, project management, Quality Assurance Observation (QAO), project finance management, property management, and project close-out on residential, multi-family, commercial, and civil projects.

Matt is an honors graduate from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, earned a Building Enclosure Commissioning Process Provider (BECxP) Certification from the University of Wisconsin College of Engineering, is a Certified Quality Assurance Practitioner (CQAP), Associate Constructor (AC), is GCP Applied Technologies’ Preprufe and Procor Waterproofing Systems Certified, and holds OSHA 10 hr. safety and 28 CFR 1926 Fall Protection Certifications. Matt is also a member of American Institute of Constructor’s (AIC) and a contributing Editor on ‘A Guide to Construction Quality’, © 2014, published by OAC Management Incorporated.

Matt was recently married to his wife Aubrey and enjoys a host of outdoor sports, camping and hiking.

Jesse L. Meryhew | Director of Construction

Jesse has worked in construction for more than 20 years and brings a vast amount of experience to OAC with a broad range of construction knowledge. Having worked in framing, roofing, and over15 years in Mechanical, Plumbing, and HVAC Controls service, Jesse has an extraordinary understanding of Building Science, systems functionality, and trade coordination.

Jesse has superior leadership and communication skills coupled with a veracious appetite for understanding how things work and operate, and is uniquely gifted in leading with a “can do” attitude. Jesse holds an Associate’s Degree in Science from Colorado Northwestern Community College, with continuing education studies in Biology at Mesa State University. Additionally, Jesse holds more than 20 Certifications from the industry’s leading suppliers in heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and humidification systems, completed the North American Technician Excellence Certification (NATE), and is a Certified Quality Assurance Technician (CQAT).

Jesse was born and raised in western Colorado and moved to the Vail Valley in 2001. He and his wife Amy have been married for 14 years and have a daughter Jacey. Jesse has been the head baseball coach for Eagle Valley High School since 2011.

Steve Reid CQAP | Project Engineer

Steve serves as a Project Engineer. Prior to joining OAC, Steve worked in the hospitality industry in facilities management. Since joining OAC, Steve has earned his Quality Assurance Practitioner Certification and has helped on numerous projects providing owner’s representation, project management, property management, Quality Assurance Observation (QAO), third party verification inspections, and project close-out for residential and commercial projects.

Steve is a graduate from Hope College with a Bachelor of Science degree in History. Steve completed the Building Enclosure Commissioning Process Provider (BECxP) course through the University of Wisconsin’s College of Engineering Department, is certified by Grace Construction Products, and thoroughly trained in proper Building Envelope Enclosure procedures.
